（1）掌握人稱代詞he，she和it 的運用方法。

（2）掌握物主代詞my, your, his, her 和its的用法。

1．元音字母e的讀音：

1）元音字母e在重讀開音節中讀字母本身的音[i:]

例如：he she chinese

2）元音字母e在重讀閉音節中讀[e]音。

例如：pen desk spell

另字母組合ee在單詞中讀[i:]音。

例如：three jeep meet

2． Who’s this? 這是誰？

這是詢問眼前的某人人是誰時的專門用語，若想知道較遠處的某個人是誰時則用Who’s that?“那是誰？”回答時仍用This is ……或That is ……。如果當時知道所問的對象的性別時也可以用He is ……或She is……。

例如：Who’s this? This is Li Tao.

這位是誰？這位是李濤。

Who’s this? He is Li Tao.

這位是誰？他是了濤。

Who’s that? She is Liu Xiaomei.

那位是誰？她是劉曉梅。

3． I think he is very old. 我想他年級很大了。

英美人在發表自己的觀點或判斷時，常用I think，意為“我想，我認為”，然後加上一個賓語從句。如例句中的he is very old.就是I think的賓語。這種由I think引起的句子其語氣比較委婉。再如：

I think she’s twelve. 我想她十二歲了。

I think he’s Mr Zhnag. 我認為他是張先生。

I think he is right. 我想他是對的。

4． I don’t know his name. 我不知道他的名字。

句子的know為“知道”的意思，是實義動詞一，亦稱行為動詞。do是助動詞，本身沒有意義，它和not構成否定形式，用來否定一個實義動詞，don’t是do not的縮略形式。若將助動詞do放在主語前面則可用來對一個實義動詞提出疑問。

例如：Do you know his name? 你知道他的名字嗎？

這和連繫動詞be(am, is , are)的否定和疑問不一樣，連繫動詞的否定是在其後直接加not，疑問時則把連繫動詞直接放在主詞的前面。

5． Is everyone here today? 今天大家都到齊了嗎？

在英語中，every要看作為單數，動詞用is，指的是每個人。如果全體都到齊了，可以回答“Yes, everyone is here.”如果有人缺席，則回答“No, ……isn’t here.”或“No, ……and……aren’t here.”表示同類問題的説法還有“Are we (you) all here today?”回答為“Yes, we are all here.”都到齊了。

6． Is she at school today? 她今天在學校嗎？

at school 是一個固定詞組，意思是“在學校上學”注意介詞用at。

例如：Li Lei is at school today. 李磊今天在校上學。

7． I think she’s at home. 我認為她在家。

at home意思“在家”，也是一個固定詞組，home在此作名詞用，注意介詞應用at。

例如：Jim isn’t at school. He’s at home.

吉姆沒有在學校上課。他在家裏。

8． Is Bill in? 比爾在家嗎？

這裏be in等於be at home，都譯為“在家”。in是副詞。英語中，home也常作為地點副詞用，前面不加任何其它的詞。

例如：go home. 回家

9． Is your friend a boy r a girl? 你的朋友是男孩還是女孩？

這是一個選擇疑問句。在英語中，提出兩種或兩種以上的問題，要求對方選擇其中一種回答，這種問句叫做選擇疑問句。選擇疑問句由“一般疑問句+or（不能用and）+另一個選擇部分?”構成，回答時常根據所提示的選擇成分作出選擇，而不能用Yes或No來回答。朗讀時一般的情況下是前一種選擇用升調，後一種選擇用降調。

例如：Is Luey at home or at school. 露西是在家還是在學校呢？

She is at school. 她在學校。

Are you in Grade one or in Grade Two? 你是在一年級還是在二年級？

I’m in Grade Two. 我在二年級。

Is Polly a cat or a bird? 波利是一隻貓還是一隻鳥呢？

It’s a bird. 是一隻鳥。

10．That’s right 和 That’s wrong.

對了錯了

對某一判斷，觀點或回答作出評判時，如果認為對方是對的，常説That’s right/You’re right.或很簡單地説Right。如果認為對方是錯的，常説That’s wrong或You’re wrong。但一般不説或很少説Wrong。

11．Who’s that in Picture 1? 第一幅畫中的那個人是誰？

1） Picture 1 這是個名詞在前，數詞在後的詞組，名詞的第一個字母要大寫。

如：Row 6, Class 3.

2） In在這裏是介詞“在……裏”。

12．語法

1）本單元出現的he(他)，she(她)，it（它）是第三人稱單數的人稱代詞，在句中作主語，稱為人稱代語主格。它們與系動詞be連用時的表示形式為He is …，She is…，It is…。同時可以縮略為He’s…，She’s…，It’s…。

如：She’s a girl. 她是個女孩。

I think he’s at school. 我認為他在學校裏。

It’s bird. 它是一隻鳥。

2） my, your, his, its稱為形容詞性的物主代詞，起形容詞的作用，所以，它們的後面一定要加名詞構成詞組。

如：my bike 我的自行車

your English book 你的英語書

its name 它的名字

13．英語如何打電話

英語中打電話時的用語與中國人的習慣方式是不同的。英美車家的人當聽到電話鈴響時，拿起話筒和對方講話一般的要先報自己的電話電碼，然後再説內容。中國人則不是這樣，另外電話時問“你是誰呀？”英語不能譯成“Who are you?”即應是“Who’s that?”若問對方是不是某人時，應説“Is that…？”回答説“Yes, it is.或No, it isn’t.”“我是比爾”應説“This is bill.”或“This is Bill speaking.”不能説“I’m Bill.”
