小小it顯神通

別看it貌不驚人，但它的作用可不小。不信，就讓我們一起來關注"它"的用法！

一、 用於指除人以外的一切生物、無生命的東西和事情。如：

Look at the rain!It's heavy, isn't it?

二、 用於指代人。常指代説話者心目中不太清楚的人或性別不詳的嬰幼兒。如：

a. -Who is it? -It's me.

b. -Who is the baby in her arms? -It's Jim.

三、 用於指時間、距離和自然現象等。如：

-What time is it? -It's ten.

It is very quiet here at the moment.

四、 用作形式主語。it作形式主語時無意義，真正的主語由後面的動詞不定式短語、動名詞短語或從句來充當。如：

It's important for us to keep the water clean.

It seems that he is ill. = He seems to be ill.

五、 用作形式賓語。it作形式賓語時，常用在think, find, make, feel等詞的後面。常用的固定句型為：主語+謂語+it+賓語補足語+動詞不定式/動名詞/從句。如：

We think it no good reading in bed.

六、 用在強調結構中。在強調結構中，用it引導出被強調的部分，結構為：It+be+被強調的成分+who/that...。如：

It was they who/that helped me in the street this evening. 是他們今天晚上在街上幫助我的。

It was me that they helped in the street this evening. 今天晚上他們在街上幫助的人是我。
