萬聖節前夕

是美國人年年都會慶祝的秋季節日。它的意思是“神聖的夜晚”，在每年的10月31日，也就是萬聖節前夜。但實際上這不是一個真正的宗教節日，而主要是孩子們的節日。

每年秋天蔬菜成熟可以食用的時候，孩子們就會挑出大個兒的橙色南瓜。然後在南瓜上刻上一張臉，把一根點燃的蠟燭放在裏面。看起來就好像有人在向南瓜外面張望。這些燈就叫做“iack-o'-lantems”，意思也就是“傑克的燈”。

幾天來，因為下定決心要更好地學習英語，我重新拿起了幾個月之前學過，但是因為時間緊等等原因而扔掉了的《巧用歌訣學英語》。

以前學習很輕鬆，完成老師佈置的各項作業後，每天都有大量的時間留給我自己，但是我卻用它們來玩遊戲，導致很多寶貴的時間都被我浪費了。但是，現在我上了更高的年級，課程多了起來，學習內容的難度也在上升，所以我感覺時間更緊了，負擔也重了。因此我就必須提高學習效率，每天在很短的時間內完成很多課程的學習，而且不是走馬觀花地看個大概就行，必須要認真地學習，這樣才能做到在完成老師佈置的課堂學習任務的前提下，擠出一部分時間來複習以前學過的舊知識，與此同時，我還應該學習一些課外的新知識。

以前，我用了將近一個半月的時間，學了一些英語的語法口訣，大約有這本書所有內容的八分之三，很是又用，只是後來因為忙於其他事情就不得不中斷了。現在我要把這些知識再度温習一遍，這樣以後就不容易忘了。於是我每天晚上用十多分鐘的時間來複習以前學過的課程。畢竟有以前學過打下的底子在那裏，而且還做過題目，複習起來還算輕鬆。

在複習的過程中，我也擠出了時間往下學習新的英語課程，在這幾天內，我學習了八年級《新概念英語》語法的幾個知識點，比如“情態動詞用法”等等，感覺非常有收穫。

學習就是這樣，對自己嚴格一些，堅持少玩多學，就一定能有收穫。我下定決心，以後一段時間裏，一定要堅持每天都學習這個《口訣》，直到它全部被我學會的那一天。即使再忙再累也要學，每天學一點，積少成多就有用了，至少可以為我今後初中階段的英語學習打下堅實的基礎。

他是剛剛轉來我們昂立英語班的，個子矮小，但是他的聰明真令人刮目相看。那是他剛來我們班的第一節英語課堂上，他的英語口語真令人讚歎，能用英語和老師進行流利地對話。有些單詞和句子我們連聽也沒聽過，更別提用了，可他在與老師的一問一答中顯得那麼地自如，嫻熟，活像一個小洋人似地，滿嘴嘰裏呱啦的，都不知道他們在講什麼，同學們佩服地向他投去了羨慕的.目光，還情不自禁的拍起了熱烈的掌聲，他用英語説了謝謝，我們的掌聲更熱烈了。老師也用讚賞的目光看着他。

他還是個熱心人。課後，同學一碰到英語難題，跑去問他。他都能耐心的講解，從不露出不耐煩，這就令同學們更加讚歎不已了。在課間時間，他身邊從來就沒有斷過人，同學們有太多的問題要向他請教，包括我在內，我也想問。可同學們在她身邊圍得水泄不通，我很難排上隊。我心裏想：算了，看來這個學期我是沒有機會和他請教問題了。沒想到他竟從人羣中穿了出來，問我：“這位同學，你有問題嗎？|”我喜出望外

地説：“請問，這道題的這個單詞怎麼讀？”他説：“ fr ghtened是害怕的意思。”“fr ghtened”我跟他讀了兩遍，怎麼了？那麼安靜？教室裏頓時鴉雀無聲，我正奇怪：這是怎麼了？原來大家都在聽他讀英語呢！他是我們班讀音最標準的一個，我們都沒有讀得這麼好，有的連不會讀。

他還拿過很多的獎。參加過各種各樣的賽事，均獲得優異的成績。在市級英語比賽中，拿過一、二、三等獎簡直不計其數。就拿最近的來説吧，今年年初，他到北京參加了全國“倒背如流新概念”大賽中，榮獲國家級二等獎的優異成績，為我們學校掙了光，全校還提倡向他學習呢！

我校的英語角更是他展示英語水平的平台，他向老外介紹我們柳州的名勝古蹟和旅遊勝地，就連柳州的小吃——螺螄粉也讓他説得老外饞得直流口水，還連連給他豎起了大拇指。他還會做翻譯，把我們要講的話翻譯給老外聽，又把老外的意思解釋給我們聽。我建議如果你要出國，最好帶上他，讓他來給你當翻譯。
