一、教學目標:

1. 語言知識目標:

1) 學習掌握下列詞彙:get on with; relation, communication, argue, cloud, elder, instead, whatever, nervous, offer, proper, secondly, communication, explain, clear

2)閲讀短文,能按要求找到相應的信息。

3)通過閲讀提高學生們的閲讀能力。

4) 瞭解在如果生活中發生了一些不盡如人意的問題,應當如何面對理性地去解決。

2. 情感態度價值觀目標:

人的一生並不都是一帆風順的,難免有一些挫折的困難,如果生活中發生了一些不盡如人意的問題,我們學會冷靜對待,學會合理的辦法去理性地去解決。

二、教學重難點

1. 教學重點:

1) 掌握本部分出現的生詞和詞組,達到熟練運用的目標。

2) 閲讀短文,獲得相關的信息。通過閲讀練習,來提高閲讀能力。

2. 教學難點:

1) 閲讀短文,獲得相關的信息的能力。

2) 理解並運用所學的詞彙及表達方式。

三、教學過程

 Step 1 Revision

Some Ss give some problems. Other Ss give advice.

Problems and advice:

1. I have to study too much so I don’t get enough sleep.

Why don’t you go to sleep earlier this evening?

2. I have too much homework so I don’t have any free time to do things I like.

Why don’t you go camping with your friends this weekend?

3. My parents don’t allow me to hang out with my friends.

Why not read some interesting books at home?

4. I have too many after-school classes.

Why don’t you talk about it with your parents?

5. I got into a fight with my best friend.

Why not call him up?

Role-play the conversation of 2d.

 Step 2 Presentation the new words

1. relation n. 關係;聯繫;交往

e.g. Their relation seemed quite close. 他們的關係看起來很親密。

2. argue v. 爭吵;爭論

e.g. The couple began to argue about the child’s education.

那對夫婦開始就孩子的教育問題爭吵。

3. proper adj. 正確的;恰當的

e.g. It’s not proper to visit a friend too late in the evening.

太晚了,去看朋友不合適。

4. nervous adj. 焦慮的;擔憂的

e.g. Don’t be nervous. It is just a small test. 不要緊張。就是個小測試而已。

5. clear adj. 清楚易懂的;晴朗的

e.g. The sun shone out of a clear sky. 天空晴朗,陽光燦爛。

Step 3 Lead in

一、通過問答一些有關家庭生活的問題來導入正題:

1. Can you get on well with your family?

2. Are the relations between your parents good?

3. Do you have any brothers or sisters? Can you get on well with him/her?

4. Who do you ask for help when you have problems?

 Step 4 Reading

Work on 3a:

1. Tell Ss to read the article in 3a quickly and try to find the answers to these questions:

What’s Sad and Thirteen’s problem?

How does he feel at home?

方法指導:帶着問題,然後快速閲讀短文,爭取在較短的時間內,找到答案。

學生們,按老師指導的方法進行閲讀,並快速回答這兩個問題。最後,教師讓部分學生回答答案,並校對答案。

2. Ss read the article again and fill in the chart.

學生們認真閲讀短文,並在表格中填出男孩Sad and Thirteen面臨的'問題,並填寫出羅波特先生所給出的建議。和同學們一起校對答案。

3. Ss read the article again and fill in the blanks.

Work on 3b:

1. 讓學生們討論羅波特先生對問題的建議,並發表自己的看法。

2. 學生們分小組討論,發表自己的意見,由小組長彙總。

3. 讓小組長並彙總的意見和其他同學彙報。

S1: I agree with his advice. Because more communication can make family members understand each other better and know about the feeling they have.

S2: I don’t agree with his advice. I think their parents should fight any more. They should care more about their children and spend more time with them.

Work on 3c

1. 告訴學生們本學習活動的要求:找出短文與下列詞彙意思相同的句子

2. 讓學生們先讀3c中的詞彙,理解其意思,然後再在短文找出與其意思相同的詞彙或詞組。

3. 方法指導:根據上下文的意思,來確定詞彙或詞組的意思。

4. Check the answers。

5. 讓學生們用這些詞彙或詞組造句子。

Step 5 Language points

1. My problem is that I can’t get on with my family.

get on with 和睦相處;關係良好 相當於 get along with

e.g. The child doesn’t get on well with others. 那個小孩不合羣。

2. Instead he watches whatever he wants until late at night.

1) instead adv. 代替;反而;卻

e.g. If we can’t go to Huashan Mountain, we’ll go to the city of Xi’an for the trip.

如果我們不能去爬華山,我們就去西安遊玩。

辨析:

instead 是副詞,常置於句子末尾。

instead of 是介詞短語,後接名詞、代詞、動名詞等。

例如:

Last summer I went to Qingdao.

This summer I’m going to Dalian instead.

去年夏天我去了青島。今年夏天我要去大連。

Instead of going to Qingdao I’m going to Dalian this year.

今年我打算去大連,而不去青島。

2) whatever pron. 任何;無論什麼 相當於 no matter what

e.g. Whatever I suggest, he always disagrees.

無論我提什麼建議,他都不同意。

3. If your parents are having problems, you should offer to help.

offer v. 主動提出;自願給予

offer側重主動或願意給予,主動提出做某事。常用結構:offer sb. sth. 或offer to do sth.

e.g. She offered me a cup of tea. 她給我端了杯茶。

He offered to go instead of me. 他主動提出代替我去。

4. Secondly, why don’t you sit down and communicate with your brother?

communicate v. 交流;溝通

communicate with sb. 與某人交流

e.g. Li Mei can easily communicate with foreigners in English.

李梅能用英語與外國人輕鬆交流。

5. Can you explain to me how to do this math problem?

explain v. 解釋;説明

1. explain + that / what/ why 等從句

2. explain sth. (to sb.)(向某人)解釋某事

e.g. Can you explain what this means?

你能解釋一下這個的意思嗎?

Please explain it to me.

請你向我解釋一下吧。…
