Dear audience,

It is a great honor and pleasure to be here in this beautiful morning to share with you my viewpoints about my topic-conquering fear.

About a year ago,I took part in my very first English speech I stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me,l was too nervous to speak out and just stood there,embarrassed and helpless,struggling in vain for the right thing to say.

After that I lost my courage to speak in again,my professor encouraged me to take part in an English competition;I said "No."I couldn't endure another painful told me seriously,"Look,"he said,"we all have our fears,and you have may twist your ankle in a basketball game,but you should not be afraid to ever play ing away can never dispel your fears,but action will.A winner is not one who never fails,but one who never quits."

My professor's words lingered in my mind all that lly l made the bravest and wisest decision of my life:I would face my fears and take part in the competition!

As it turned out,my dear professor was ,here l am,once again standing before a heart is beating fast,and my mouth is dry,but most importantly,I have faced my fears and that makes all the dif-ference!

成長中，我發生過很多事，但令我印象最深的事，只有一件事。那就是——騎自行車。

I've had a lot of things in my life, but there's only one thing that impresses me the most. That's -- riding a bike.

記得九歲那年，我們連的小朋友個個都有自行車，唯獨我沒有。我就耍賴，哇哇大哭，讓媽媽給我買一個，媽媽沒辦法，只好答應了。

I remember nine years old, we even have children, all have bicycles, but I do not have. I would lie, crying, my mother to buy me a mother, no way, had promised.

不知是4歲還是5歲的時候，家裏有着許多的書，個個面帶嚴肅，鄭重地佇立在書架上，這些書大部分都是父親的，是陪伴了父親青春的老書，許多本都已破損了，不是邊角破損，而是書從中斷裂成了兩半，但都已被膠水修補過了。雖是老書，書皮金黃色的圖案依然折射着光芒，刺眼的光芒裏，我似乎看見了父親埋在書堆之中的童年。而今，父親早已邁進了中年，這些書也理所當然地被我“繼承”了。當時，父母都是老師，雖然有了個白白胖胖的兒子，但他們還是把極大的精力放在了工作上，放在了那批高考在即的學生上。我也只得獨自一人待在空曠的家中，無趣的度過一天又一天，有時也曾想不滿地大喊一聲，但我知道，回答我的，只有那一本本舊書。於是，書成了我唯一解悶的玩伴，父母走後，我便費力的爬到了書架上，用着稚嫩的小手在書架中費力抽取出我發現的一本連環畫——《西遊記》，因為書中有着一幅幅精美的圖案，但那苦澀的文言文讓我實在是捉摸不透，也只能似懂非懂的翻閲着，我常常一看就是大半天，直到父母回家。
