可是河上只有一道狹窄的獨木橋，只能一個人通過。他們同時走到橋中間，誰也不讓誰。只聽見撲通一聲，他們都掉進了河裏。幸好水不深，他們都爬了上來，他倆想：如果我們謙讓一下就不會掉進河裏了！
