GRE作文考試引用名人名言的技巧

當前GRE考生在處理Analytical Writing時，大多數為如何在GRE作文中拿高分所苦惱。平時是不是應該多記些有關的名人名言，給自己的文章潤色，從而使自己的文章從所有的文章中脱穎而出，讓考官一看到你的文章就覺得與眾不同呢？關於這個問題答案是肯定的。在ETS的官方評論標準中，有一條評分標準是SCORE 6 Develops a position on the issue ∕ argument with insightful reasons and /or persuasive examples,根據這個我們就很有必要引用名人名言，增加文章的説服力。

如何引用名人名言

1、避免陳詞濫調

然而在實際的運用過程中，很多考生運用的名人名言，都不是真正意義上的名人名言，或者説是名人名言，但是由於過多的人引用，結果卻成了陳詞濫調，也就是跟俗語一樣的常用，不能發揮增加文章説服力的作用。如果你只能想到這些非常常用的名人名言時，建議你最好就不要寫了，因為很多人都用這幾個句子的話，那麼你的文章就可能會落入俗套，甚至有可能影響考官客觀的評價你的文章思路，例如every coin has two sides，Where there is a will, there is a way, Rome is not built in a day.等都是可寫可不寫的廢話。而且就這個問題，已經有很多的專家學者對考生提出了忠告。

3、最投機取巧，但也很常用的方法

還有一種情況就是這裏的名人名言的主語“名人”不是很有名，例如只是某學校的校長，或是比較模糊的某某教授，某位一直都沒有“出名”的哲人之類的，遇到這種情況也沒有關係，記得新東方的老師曾經教過，實在沒有辦法的時候就編印度人阿拉伯人的名字，多用一些h啊j啊k啊等沒用的字母來編名字，比較像一點。但是這種方法比較危險，對於一個純西方人，當然不容易發現你説的名字的錯誤，不過，如果判卷人就是印度籍或阿拉伯籍，那麼你就撞在槍口上了，這個方法還是不怎麼好用的。建議我們可以通通將這些人叫做professor,或者是philosopher,然後用自己的話將這些“名人名言”解釋一遍，最後，記得要在解釋完之後，加上個I paraphrase字樣。下面就是一些作文中的例子。
