What Can We Do for the Environment

Hello, everyone. I’m Li Hua. It’s nice to speak about what we can do for the environment, and I think each of us can do a little bit to help with this problem.

The first thing we can do is to use cloth bags in stead of plastic bags when we go shopping. It helps to protect the environment. The second thing we can do is to reuse(再利用) the old textbooks as possible as we can. We should also never forget to turn off the lights when we leave the classrooms in order to save ’s more, it would be better if we walk or ride a bike to school. We should try our best to reduce pollution and waste.

In fact, even the simplest everyday activities(日常活動) can make a real difference to(對…有影響) the environment. I believe we can make the world a better place to live in.

Today the quality of our natural environment has become an important issue. The world population is rising so quickly that the world has become too crowded. We are using up our natural resources and at the same time polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we continue to do this, life on earth cannot survive.

Concerned people have made some proGREss in environmental protection. Governments of many countries have established laws to protect the air, forests and sea resources and to stop environmental pollution.

Still more measures should be taken to solve environmental problems. People should be further educated to recognize the importance of the problems, to use modern methods of birth control, to conserve(保存） our natural resources and recycle（再循環） our products. We are sure that we can have a better and cleaner place in the future.

Save water. Water is the source of life. No water，no life. So it's very important for us to do only should we protect drinking water and stop polluting it，but also make full use of it。

Save electricity. It is crucial. We can't imagine what the life will be like without yone should do his best to save electricity. Don't forget to turn off lights or other electric machines when we finish working。

Save forests. They are useful se stop cutting them down and use recycled paper instead. Make our world a green one to live in。

Recycle useful rubbish. Plenty of rubbish can be recycled like cans，paper，bottles，and so on。

We can save resources in this way. I believe we can make the world a better place to live in。
