Today I looked at my hamsters and they taught me a lot.

I also watched the little hamsters at ordinary times, but at the best I could tease them, and then they went away, and I will not only tease them today, but I will observe them carefully.

I looked at them carefully and found that they were always sleeping. Why? Now it is broad daylight, the sun is very harsh, and where does anyone sleep during the day? I decided to put them in another place, this place is dark, I thought little hamsters will also go to bed, but less than a minute, they stood up, I suddenly enlighted, originally hamsters like activities in the dark.

Nowadays the newspaper possesses considerable value Everybody should read it。 It supplies us with a variety of news every day。 It tells us the political situation of the world。 If we form the habit of reading the newspaper, we shall (will) get enough knowledge to cope with our circumstances。

第二天:MY DAILY LIFE 我的日常生活

Though my daily life is extremely monotonous, I try hard to adapt myself to it。 Why? Because I intend to be a good student。 I wish to render service to my country。

I get up at six o’clock every day。 After I wash my face and brush my teeth, I begin to review my lessons。 I go to school at seven o’clock。

After school is over, I return home。 We usually have supper at seven o’clock。then I begin to do my homework。 I want to finish it before I go to bed。

Do you mind being called a bad student? Of course not。 So far as I know, everybody intends to be (become) a model student。

However, to be a model student is by no means an easy thing。 First, he must do his best to obtain knowledge。 A man without sufficient knowledge will not succeed。 Secondly, he must remember to improve his health。 Only a strong man can do GREat tasks。 Thirdly, he should receive moral education。 If his conduct is not good, no one will consider XXX friends with him。

第四天:HOW TO GET HAPPINESS 如何獲得快樂

there is no doubt that happiness is the most precious thing in the world。 Without it, life will be empty and meaningless。 If you wish to know how to get happiness, you must pay attention to the following two points。

First, health is the secret of happiness (the key to happiness)。 Only a strong man can enjoy the pleasure of life。

Secondly, happiness consists in contentment。 A man who is dissatisfied with his present condition is always in distress。

Dear Mr Smith,

I was so pleased to hear from you and am writing to tell you something about my school. You are right. Quite a few changes have taken place. On one side of the road there is a new classroom building. On the other side, where the playground used to be now stands another new building-our library. In it there are all kinds of books, newspapers and magazines. The playground is now in front of the school. We have also planted a lot of trees in and around the school. I hope you come and see for yourself some

Best wishes,

The other day my brother and I went to the cinema by bicycle. My brother was riding with me sitting on the seat behind. As we came to the crossroads a young man and a girl came up and stopped us. ‘We‘ve found you at long last,’ they said. But we didn’t know them. Pointing to a policeman not far away, the young man explained, ‘He stopped us about half an hour ago and made us catch the next offender. So come on, stand here. Hope you don‘t have to wait as long as we did . Good luck.’

Dear Peter,

We’re so gald you‘re coming to join us on Sunday. Here is how you can find us. We’ll have our picnic in the People‘s Park. You know where that is, don’t you? After you enter the park by the main gate, walk straight on till you come to a stream. Cross the stream and turn right. After walking for a while you‘ll come to a hill. Walk around to the other side of the hill. There you’ll see a lake. We‘ll have our picnic there in the small woods by the lake. I’m sure you‘ll have no trouble finding us. Do come!

On the way home, Mathilde found that the necklace was gone. She was frightened to death because it was too expensive for her. She and her husband hurriedly returned and looked wherever she had been that night, but couldn't find it at all.

What would they do? They had to buy a diamond necklace exactly like the one she borrowed from Jeanne and returned it to her. It cost them 36,000 francs.

In order to pay off the debts, they suffered hunger and cold day and night. Ten years of hard work made young Mathilde so old that Jeanne could hardly recognize her when they happened to meet one day in a park. It was then that Mathilde found out the truth: the necklace she had borrowed from Jeanne was not a real diamond necklace. It was made of glass and cost only 500 francs at most!

One possible version:

Friday May 20, 20xx Sunny

This evening I went to the KTV with some of my good friends.

This was the first time that I had been to a KTV and at first I didn’t want to go. I had been in a bad mood the whole afternoon because I didn’t do well in the math exam. At the KTV, everybody sang his favorite songs very happily except me —I as only one of the audience . I dare not have a try because I was afraid that I couldn’t sing well. Encouraged by my classmates, I picked up the microphone and sang an English song entitled “I believe I can fly”.

I have become cheerful now and above all I’ve regained self-confidence. I believe that the worst enemy in one’s life is oneself. I shouldn’t lose heart just because of one or two failures because I still have chances to try.

October 12, 20xx, Monday Fine

It is universally acknowledged that Senior Three is undoubtedly a critical phase of life. The school life is extremely busy, so our monitor suggests that we have an outing to relax ourselves this weekend.

It is terrific! After a month s study, I feel we really need a break for one day, and so do some of my friends. Senior Three should not be filled with study only and relaxation is also an important part. Sometimes relaxation is more useful than an hour s hard work. While having an outing, we can relax ourselves and enjoy the beautiful scenery of autumn --- yellow leaves, attractive sunset against the blue sky and so on. Isn t it enjoyable? After the outing, I think all the students will have a better physical and mental state to meet the further challenges we may come across and cope with difficulties for ourselves.

My dog will be dead. She is very old. We have kept her for ten years. Now her hairs are falling. And she always lies on the ground. She can’t see very clearly. She eats a little. She becomes thin. She was very strong before. She is still guarding my family. She is one of my family member. Now we are all uneasy because she will die. I think you may know my thinking. Even if it is a dog, you can’t forget it. So these days, we feet her the best food.

The night before the examination

The clock struck eleven at night. The whole house was quiet. Everyone was in bed except me. Under the strong light, I looked gloomily before me at a huge pile of that disgusting stuff they call“books”.

I was going to have my examination the next day. “Whencan I go to bed ” I asked myself. I did not answer. In fact I dared not.

The clock struck 12.“Oh, dear!”I cried. “Ten more books to read before I can go to bed!”We students are the most wretched creatures in the world.
