茱萸是一種草，它細細長長的，又是綠油油的。每到端午節，當地的老人們就會在自家的每一個門的兩旁都插上一?茱萸，以求神靈保佑平安。

有一次端午節，我們一家人回到了三明。那天，我第一次看到外公、外婆插茱萸。只見外公搬來一節長梯，在門的旁邊(門框前)架好，然後小心翼翼地拿出一茱萸草，拜了拜天，口裏唸唸有詞，然後慢慢地爬上梯子。最後，外公仔細找這門邊的裂縫，等到找到了裂縫之後，再把那一?茱萸草插上去，然後下來。

我們和外公在遠處得意洋洋望着大大小小的門上被我們用心插上的'茱萸。微風徐徐吹過，門旁的茱萸在微風中輕輕搖擺着身體，好像笑這對我們説“放心吧!我一定回保佑大家平安的!”

這就是我的家鄉的端午節習俗之一―插茱萸。但是，隨這時代的進步，越來越少人會要想要插茱了。

所以，我向大家提議：大家要保持這種習俗把古老又悠久的習俗一代又一代地傳下去。
